I AM VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT I DO, AND I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE THAT PASSION WITH YOU.
Body In Sync was formed in 1999.
After years of teaching Low-Impact, High-Impact, and Step Aerobics (1983 -2004), I was looking for an alternative means of training.
I knew I could further assist clients in making a difference in their approach to Fitness and Wellness.
I made the  transition into Personal Training in 1997, whilst continuing to teaching at Kathy's Place.
In 1999 Body In Sync was formed, working out of Kathy's Place.
After attending the first "IDEA Mind-Body Convention in 1997, I experienced Pilates, Tai-Chi, and Yoga.
I knew that this was now the direction that I wanted to follow.
I did further workshops in Tai-Chi, Yoga, and Pilates, and introduced these modalities to Kathy's Place.
I saved, and saved, and in 1997 I bought my first reformer (Rehab) through Stott, and continued Personal training within the same facility until 2004, and teaching Pilates mat classes.
It was time to move on, and I bought another Reformer(client), followed by two stability chairs, and moved into my first studio in 1999, and continued Personal Training, Pilates, Yoga and Aerobics at Kathy's Place.
In April of 1999, I wanted to better understand how the body works, and I attended a month-long Massage training at Esalen, California.
In 2002, it was time for expansion once again, my second studio, another stability chair, and space for Matwork.
2004 brought about a big change, I left Kathy's Place to follow my "new" passion for Pilates and Yoga.
The timing was right, and I attended a 200 hour Intensive Yoga teacher training in Sedona, Seven Centers Yoga.
Growing steadily, adding a Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, Cadillac, and another Stability Chair, Body in Sync moved once again in 2005, the space was really needed.
With the demand for more Reformer classes, a further two reformers(SPX) were added, and the Pilates classes and Yoga classes grew in leaps and bounds.
By the middle of 2007, it was time to move again, as another three reformers(SPX) had been added.
With the kind assistance of the "Streeter Family", and following Betty Streeter's own inspiration, Body In Sync moved to a new location at 315 Shirley Street.
A beautiful space, a private training room out front, with high ceilings, and lots of natural light, and a warm glow greeting you as you entered.
In the back, a dedicated room for Group Reformer, Mat work, and Yoga classes.
Body In Sync enjoyed 4 years at this GREAT location.
In July of 2011, I decided to move to London to be closer to family in South Africa, and in London.
Very tough leaving all my very good friends behind.
But in order to move forward, we have to learn to let go.
I am now looking forward... :-)
I AM VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT I DO, AND I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE THAT PASSION WITH YOU.
